ACWADAM organises workshops on topics related to groundwater from time to time. These workshops include topics such as:
- Applications of hydrogeology to watershed management programmes
- Importance of groundwater in drinking water and sanitation programmes in alluvial flood plains
- Aquifers and spring water management
- Participatory groundwater management
The workshops bring together representative members of different organisations and communities from various project areas generating a platform for mutual exchange of ideas and discussions over issues pertaining to the management of groundwater resources. Some of these workshops also include significant international participation.
Workshops play a major part in clarifying the perceptions of participant researchers about hydrogeological research playing a significant role in the objective of dissemination and demystification of the science of 'hydrogeology'. They also enrich the capacities within ACWADAM through exposure to different pedagogies, including international perspectives on groundwater management.
